Cultural Commons is led Jan-Bert van den Berg. I am an experienced project manager, trusted supporter of people, imaginative developer of resources, and curious learner who has worked in the arts and communities for the last 40 year.
I started out as a freelance artist and project organiser in London and then moved to Edinburgh in the late 1980s, before joining Artlink where I have been the Director for the last 35 years.
Working across different sectors and communties has given me an invaluable insight into the amazing potential of people, the joy of creative involvement, the challenge of problem solving and the strength that purposeful collaboration in communities brings.
